#9 Rose Bowl Bound

Quick question: Does anyone know what “The Grand-daddy of Them All” is?
Answer: It’s the Rose Bowl Game, and that is where the Badgers are headed!!! It is one of the biggest games in college football history!  That’s right class, we’re going to Disneyland!

We got the news after beating the Northwestern University Wildcats on Saturday by the score of 70-23  . The victory gave us a share of the Big Ten Conference Championship! It was an awesome way to finish our last game at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. It was also Senior Day, which meant that it was my last ever game at Camp Randall Stadium.

With Lance Kendricks, Gabe Carimi, John "The Messy One" Moffitt, Bill Nagy, and the Big Ten Championship Trophy

It was really cool having my whole family out on the field to greet me before the game.
Like you guys mentioned, JJ Watt was all over the field! He has been doing that all season long. I’m just glad that he is on my team and not on the other team coming after me! Should I interview him for you guys? The best part is that JJ is ten times a better person than he is a football player. Check out this video on his journey.

That is one of the coolest parts about playing on this team. There are so many guys with all different kinds of backgrounds and so many different journeys, but at the end of the day we are all working towards the same thing. It’s the same way with your class. Everyone may look different, have different favorite activities, and be better at certain things than others, and that is what makes life fun. If everyone was the same it would not be interesting at all. Imagine coming to school every day and everybody was the same. Now that would be boring. With that being said, you should never hold a grudge or get mad at someone just because they are different. You should respect everyone and welcome their differences, and treat everyone the way that you would want to be treated.

On Monday I get to go to New York City to receive an award. It should be a ton of fun. I have never been to New York before, and I hear it is fabulous during the Christmas season. The best part is that I don’t have to pay a single dollar for the trip. Has anyone seen the movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York City? I am actually staying at the same hotel that the movie was filmed in.

The Rose Bowl Game is not until next year though. Get it?? We play on January 1, 2011. Does anyone know what else that day is? If you guessed New Year’s Day you are correct.  If you guys don’t think that this is the most beautiful stadium in America, than you guys must be crazy.  Look at that sky! Look at those mountains!

So what happens before then? Check out my next blog to find out…
